Melanie Wilkinson | Nutrition Specialist

Meet Melanie Wilkinson, our Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) and Registered Nutritional Therapist. Mel is a skilled practitioner, passionate about transforming the healthcare space to avoid disease, achieve health and optimise performance.

With chronic and mental health conditions increasing exponentially, her mission is to adopt a preventive and personalised approach to healthcare to help stop the needless suffering of many individuals. To do this, she undertakes significant research within this space and is passionate about the intersection between science, technology and healthcare. She also competes in sports to a high level, having previously represented England. Playing at this level helped her understand nutrition's importance in supporting elite performance.

"The Body Lab's concept and the way I practise are completely aligned: looking at not just ways to prevent disease, but ways to optimise health and performance. Utilising the latest advances in science and staying on top of research within the field, we want to ensure that our clients are receiving the very best, integrative care."

Mel has a range of different packages, all tailored to suit your individual needs. For some, you may receive recipe ideas, structured food plans and support, educational handouts and more. You can expect a comprehensive health and lifestyle assessment, a blood analysis review, behavioural support, functional laboratory test recommendations and personalised nutrition, lifestyle and supplement plan.

“The Body Lab's concept and how I practise are wholly aligned: looking at ways to prevent disease and optimise health and performance. Utilising the latest advances in science and staying on top of research within the field, we want to ensure that our clients receive the best integrative care.

This centre is one of the very first of its kind, offering a 360-degree approach whereby each client is overseen by numerous practitioners who each have something different in their offering. This level of personalisation, coupled with cutting-edge technology, is unique.

Clients should expect a comprehensive health and lifestyle assessment, a review of their blood analysis where applicable, behavioural support, functional laboratory test recommendations and personalised nutrition, lifestyle and supplement plan. Some clients will also receive recipe ideas, structured food plans and support, and educational handouts.

I want to educate and empower individuals to take control of their health, taking away any ambiguity by diving into the root cause of symptoms and working through the underlying issue together. The sessions are completely personalised, and a large part of the journey is to break down habits by providing small, sustainable changes tailored to their lifestyle. It is vital for me that individuals retain a positive relationship with food. I recognise that food is an integral part of one’s social life and, often, an expression of emotions.

If an individual is battling a particular condition or symptom, it is often vital to stage protocols to ensure that we get to the root cause and support each bodily system that may be affected.

Meet with Mel to explore and understand how you can break down bad habits by making small, sustainable changes, take control of your health and nutrition while maintaining a positive relationship with food, and learn more about your body.
